Gwen Griffiths - Howell's 1966 - 1973

Banking Law

I am a partner at O'Melveny & Myers LLP. I am a banking lawyer who represents providers of finance, such as banks and other financial institutions, or borrowers and issuers, such as public and private companies, on a variety of commercial and investment banking products. I am a partner in the International Practice Group.

I am initially focused in cross-border sydnicated loans to sovereign and corporate borrowers. However, I also have experience in other areas such as finance, media finance, project and trade finance, property finance and securitisations.

Illustrative Professional Experience:

  • Acting for a US Investment Bank on UK loan and security aspects of a US $350,000 global exit facility for a major industrial group.
  • Advising an equity investor in the management buyout of a European manufacturer of bulk and speciality chemicals involving a senior syndicated loan facility and senior high yield securities.
  • Advising on English law aspects of a US $214,000,000 ECA financing in South America.
  • Acting for a major European company in relation to a group cash pooling scheme.
  • Advising on a proposed sale of residual interests in a series of mortgage loan securitisations.

I am happy to offer career advice but am unable to offer work placements.
