BrightFutures is the events programme that focuses on informal learning opportunities and continued professional development whilst offering chances for networking and socialising. This programme is particularly aimed at alumni aged from 18-30 but can be enjoyed and appreciated by all Minerva members.

Image and Impact: a personal presentation and self-confidence workshop, London, £35 (£20, 18-30 yrs)

This inspiring workshop is back due to popular demand! Learn about the importance of image and first impressions; the language of appearance and effective and authoritative dressing as well as how to get the look right for formal, smart casual and professional occasions in the fittingly beautiful setting of the Lansdowne Club. Learn how to develop effective body language: posture, gesture, eye contact and facial expression and how they can be used to project and increase confidence through a range of practical exercises. The session also highlights the importance of individuality, exploring the use of colour, advanced planning and checklists to aid your personal success.  This event is both informative and fun, and afterwards you can relax, network and enjoy the elegant venue with drinks and canapés.

Effective Networking: an interactive workshop for social and professional networking skills, London £35 (£20, 18-30 yrs)

Entering unknown social and professional situations is something that can stir fear in the heart of even the most confident of people. If you dread party introductions, never know what to wear or simply want to make more of your business connections this session will have something for you. In the inviting and elegant environment of the Lansdowne Club, learn to put aside your pre-party nerves and how to reap the rewards of building an effective network. This interactive and informal workshop will teach you how to get the most from any networking occasion, from setting and achieving goals to planning ahead. Learn how make graceful entrance and exits, engage the interest of others and all importantly remember the names of the people you meet! Enjoy trying out your new-found skills after the workshop over drinks and canapés.
