Guided tour of the Globe Theatre and entrance to The Globe’s Shakespeare Exhibition, London, £14

Situated on the bank of the River Thames, The Globe Theatre is a faithful replica of the original “o” shaped playhouse erected in the 1590s. Founded by the American actor and director Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare’s Globe is dedicated to Shakespeare’s work as well as furthering the understanding of his plays in performance. Join us for a guided tour around the Theatre, where our private guide will share their knowledge and expertise, bringing the past to life. After the tour explore the recently refurbished Globe Exhibition, the most extensive exhibition in the world dedicated to Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Find out about extravagant Elizabethan costumes, Renaissance instruments and how they were used, and the dramatic stories of the first Globe crossing the Thames, and the new Globe being reconstructed on Bankside.
