COMMITEE MEMBERS

All that happens in the Guild is thanks to the committee members who give up their time to keep the network vibrant. You will find profiles about each member and information regarding their responsibilities, so if you have suggestions please email them direct.

Mrs Anne Clarke (Williams)
1958 - 1965

I have been teaching PE at PHS since 1984. I married Trevor Clark (Myrtle Clark’s brother) in 1968 and have three children, Tim, Lucy and Sophie. Lucy and Sophie were educated at PHS from age 5 to 18.

Mrs Diane Thomas
1966 - 1973

I attended PHS before going on to University College, London where I did a degree in Modern Iberian and Latin American Regional Studies.

I spent 18 years working in IT in the MOD, Boots and IBM, from where I was made redundant in 1995. I then changed direction and started work at the Univerisity of Portsmouth's Business School, initially managing post-graduate programmes and now dealing with finances and contracts for all our external business activities.

I have a 15-year-old daughter, Dawn, who is in Year 11 at PHS.

Mrs Carol Evans (Nixon)
1959 - 1972

Attended PHS throughout 5 - 18 years of age and left school to study dentistry at Guys Hospital. I am married with 4 children - 3 girls all attend PHS - and I am now Membership Secretary for the Guild.

Mrs Janice Forrester (Prior)
1954 - 1967

PHS was the only school I ever attended and it was a wonderful experience! I have been involved with the Guild since moving back to Southsea. My daughter Anna started at Dovercourt at the age of 4 and is currently in year 10.

Mrs Kathryn Moffit (Greenshields)

Left PHS in 1980 after A levels. Spent the next five years at University College Hospital Dental School in London. Putting my hands in the mouths of others was not for me so retired from all that to become a country vet's wife in Kent. The country vet became a City vet and we ended up in Portsmouth. The irony is that I now work at PGS (and have a son there and a daughter at PHS). I also have a little sideline producing customised clip art for various organisations to use in inhouse publications and brochures. The happy houshold is completed by a cat, a puppy and three boats!

Mrs Jennifer Shields (Bishop)
1969 - 1976

I went to Brunel University to study Applied Biology, returning to Portsmouth where I worked as a microbiologist. Still living here, I am married with three children, two boys and a girl (who is at PHS). I currently edit the Guild Newsletter.

Mrs Barbara Haward

I left PHS in 1973 and have recently rejoined the Guild Committee. After attending Edinburgh University, I returned to the Portsmouth area and now live in Havant with my husband Nick, and two children, Fiona (currently at PHS) (and William). I work at the University of Portsmouth as a lecturer in the faculty of the Environment.
